Julie updates Ross on the situation, revealing that Joel had swabs taken for samples. Ross, concerned, asks Julie if Joel could be a psychopath. Her response? She's not qualified to answer, leaving us with a lingering question mark over Joel's mental state.
As the police arrive to take Vicki's statement, Ross is torn. He ultimately decides to head to the station, where he watches Joel's interview via monitors. Joel, lying through his teeth, claims that he only gave Vicki "a little push" which led to her tripping. But it's his toxic views on women that truly reveal his true colors.
"I'm just a kid," Joel says, trying to downplay his actions. But his words carry a weight of responsibility that he refuses to acknowledge.
At The Queen Vic, Tommy Moon, played by Sonny Kendall, tells officers that Joel tricked him. Tommy, shaken by the extent of Joel's attack on Vicki, later expresses his sorrow to his mum, Kat Moon.
Joel, on the other hand, is confronted with video evidence of his attack. Angered, he demands to see Ross, now aware that his own father reported him to the police. Joel has to be restrained, and Ross is left struggling to cope with the reality of the situation.
